Colorado Gives Day – Donate to Skinner

Dear Skinner Families,

Colorado Gives Day is just under a week away, Tuesday, December 9th, and we hope you’ll consider supporting the Skinner through this important annual fundraiser. Here is the LINK TO DONATE.

Colorado Gives remains a cornerstone of our fundraising efforts, and every dollar donated through December 9th is boosted by the Colorado Gives Foundation’s $1 million matching incentive fund, making your contribution go even further.

Your generosity directly supports the experiences that make Skinner such a special place. PTO funds help provide:

  • Teacher Grants: These bring innovation, enrichment, and classroom materials not covered by district funding to enhance classroom experiences. 
  • Funding for Essentials: This past year, we purchased everything from woodshop supplies to tech curriculum for teachers and students. 
  • Support for Arts, Music, and PE: We ensure students have access to vibrant, well-rounded programs. We funded a huge upgrade to the Skinner sound system last year for Music, choir and performing arts.
  • Athletics: We support our sports teams – including cross-country, flag football, & other sports teams–we purchased new equipment, and paid registration fees to ensure all students have access to programs.
  • Community Events: We sponsor events including school dances, celebrations, & 8th Grade Continuation.
  • Student Support: We support families who may need a little extra help throughout the year, including food assistance and help attending field trips etc.

In previous years, Colorado Gives Day was our only major fundraiser. This year, we’re excited to add a spring community-building fundraiser in April, but Colorado Gives remains a significant portion of our yearly budget. For families who look for tax-deductible giving opportunities–or who participate in corporate matching programs–this is a perfect moment to make a meaningful impact.
