My Spark Program – Funds for After School and Summer Programs!

My Spark Denver is a program available to 4,000 DPS middle school students who are eligible for free and reduced price lunches. Qualified families will receive a $1000 restricted debit card to cover the costs of enrollment and participation in after-school, youth programs through the 23/24 school year (includes the Summer of ‘24).

Imagine your student gets their hands on $1,000! What kind of after-school activities would they be interested in? Sports, art, coding, cooking, dance, theater, or tutoring? My Spark Denver supports students in gaining more access to such after-school programs. Eligible families with students enrolled in a DPS middle school and receiving free or reduced-priced lunch can receive $1,000 to participate in these programs. My Spark funds that families have now are good for the 2023-24 school year (until August 31, 2024). Families will reapply next year if they would like additional funds. All of this will be communicated to them via email/text if they are already a My Spark family.
