Shadowing Opportunities at Skinner:

Skinner offers an opportunity for 5th graders to spend time at Skinner Middle School. Shadowing students are paired with a 6th Grade Skinner Scholar, attend classes with that student and get an inside look at student life at Skinner. Students should bring a free-reading book, notebook and pencil. Click here to see the 2019-20 Skinner Shadowing Flyer.

Shadowing takes place most Fridays from 11:55 am – 3:10 pm, September – January. Space is extremely limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Parent tours are offered at 2:00 pm on Shadowing days followed by info sessions with students, parents and Skinner staff from 2:45 – 3:10 pm.

PLEASE NOTE: due to demand, the only 6th graders who were admitted to Skinner for 2019-20 were students who live in the NW Middle School Enrollment Zone or students who have sibling priority. We prefer to make shadowing spots available to 5th graders in one of these two categories. If you live outside of the NW Middle School Enrollment Zone, we encourage you to get to know our outstanding sister school, Lake Middle School.
