Skinner Middle School Counselor’s Corner
Created by Mrs. Smith Guidance Counselor
Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting me online!
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to you. My name is Patty Smith and I am Skinner's school counselor. This is my fifth school year working in the field of education; my third year as a school counselor. I attended the University of Houston in Texas, where I graduated with an undergraduate degree in psychology and a Master's Degree in Counseling. I am a Licensed School Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I work with all students at Skinner Middle School by visiting their classes and delivering guidance lessons. Guidance lessons serve to help students become aware of the world of work, and to help students develop academically, personally, and socially. I am available to meet with students individually or in groups to address various issues such as anger management, divorce, grief, study skills, and peer relations. Please keep in mind, however, that I am unable to provide ongoing therapy to students in a school setting. Please take a few minutes to look around at my home online. I hope that you will find the information and resources provided useful and informative.
