Skinner Arts Nights – Dec. 16 & 17 at 6 pm

Join us at Skinner on Tuesday and Wednesday, December 16 and 17 at 6 pm as students present two evenings of art and music. On Tuesday, come enjoy the sounds of our winter concert. There will be three performances that evening with pieces from band, orchestra and jazz bands. Our Skinner musicians range from beginner to advanced and have grown tremendously under the tutelage of Music Director Jordan Dwyer. Our own librarian Janice Pacheco also lends a hand to the performance, acting as piano coach for the jazz band.

On Wednesday, the Skinner Drama club presents an evening of theater with the short play, “A Little Help,” written by Alan Haehnel. The performance will be followed by monologues and duets from some of our most talented thespians. Also on the agenda: a sign language rendition of “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” from the hit movie “Frozen.”

On both evenings, take a tour of Skinner’s hallways, which will be transformed into a showplace for student-created visual art projects developed under the watchful eye of Art teacher Jessica Feaster.

So come out and support the arts this holiday season! Get here early, get a front row seat and enjoy an evening of art and music with Skinner Middle School.
