Parenting Partners Workshops begin Oct. 1!

The Parenting Partners workshop series begins Thursday, October 1, 6-8 pm.. Our goal is for these sessions is to serve as a guide as our parents navigate the journey of raising their children.  The sessions will be co-facilitated by Mr. Waldon, Skinner Social Worker, and Elvia Lubin, Skinner Parent Liaison.  Both are committed to supporting our school community to help parents become vital contributors to their children’s success.

You may attend as many sessions as possible.  Sessions run 6 – 8 pm and take place in the 2nd floor PDC training room at Skinner.

Thursday, October 8—–Creating Confident Kids & Communication that Works

Thursday, October 15—-Creating Structure for Achievement-establishing conflict-free routines

Thursday, October 29—-Discipline-Practice for Success-using consequences to help shape our kid’s behavior

Thursday, November 5—What Children and Kids Need to Succeed-learning more about our parenting styles

Thursday, November 12–Parents Engaging for Academic Success-Top Study Skills-On Track for Higher Education & GRADUATION!

Parents will receive a parent workbook. Please let Ms. Lubin know which sessions you plan on attending, we’re encouraging our parents to plan on attending the first session on October 1st so we can all get to know each other.  We will have child care and snacks!
