FINAL SKINNER REGISTRATION – Aug 6 & 7

Thank you to those of you who have registered your student at Skinner Middle School.  If you haven’t yet done so, you must attend one of the FINAL Registration events:

  • Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm
  • Friday, August 7, 2015 from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
You must attend one of these FINAL Registration events to ensure your incoming student has a seat at Skinner.Please bring the following documents with you to Registration:  your child’s birth certificate; proof of address (Xcel or water bill, mortgage statement or rental lease) and your child’s immunization record.  Please also bring payment for your student’s agenda ($7.00) and purchasing optional Skinner gear for your student.  Cash or check accepted.

If your student is NOT planning on attending Skinner Middle School in the fall, please contact Skinner’s front office at 720-424-1420 so we can offer the spot reserved for your student to someone on our wait list.

NOTE: If families utilize the on-line registration process via the DPS Parent Portal, you must still come in to Skinner to finalize your registration paperwork.  Please inform the main office that you registered on Parent Portal.  Once we confirm the registration, you will have a few short forms to complete and receive school documents such as school supply lists and other back to school information.

Online Student Verification via the DPS Parent Portal

This year, DPS is offering online verification for all families for the 2015-2016 school year.  You must have a Parent Portal account to register online.  If you don’t have one or you forgot your password or you can’t log in (you must log in at least once every six months to keep your account active), you can ask for help by emailing portalteam@dpsk12.org or calling the portal hotline at 720.423.3163. Once you have a Portal account, you’ll be able to register online from July 13 until August 17th.

In order to complete on-line school verification please:

  • Go to Parent Portal and click on the message titled “2015-16 School Verification
  • The first screen of the Online Verification (OLV) process will display.
  • Follow the instructions at the top of the screen and begin the OLV process for your family.
  • You may get out of OLV at any point after finishing a tab by scrolling to the bottom of the screen and clicking on the  “Save and Return Later” button.
  • Log back in and locate the “2015-16 School Verification” link to continue with your verification process.

Please Note: When you receive a message that states “Loading data Just a moment… ” please be patient. This may take up to 2 minutes while OLV retrieves your family’s data for the first time from IC.
