Amy Winter Biography

Amy is the 7th grade science teacher and has been teaching for Denver Public Schools since 2002. She is from Indiana and earned her Bachelor of Science from Ball State University and studied Environmental Management and Biology. She received her teaching degree from Metro State University. Amy served as an AmeriCorps member in New Jersey where she was inspired to teach. Ms. Winter serves as a Lead Teacher for the Urban Advantage Program, which offers students and thier families opportunities to use the Museum of Nature and Science, Denver Zoo and the Botanical Gardens as a research institution.  Since 2009, Amy has also been the Boys and Girls Cross Country coach for Skinner.
