Two Skinner scholars rock CO School of Mines

Alyssa, Tim Marquez & Adrian

Two Skinner students blew away attendees at the Colorado School of Mines’ dedication of a $30 million building funded by the Marquez Family Foundation last week.

Alyssa Gasca and Adrian Perez were invited to represent Skinner Neighborhood Center’s Summer Academic Focus Education/SAFE camp as students who attended a School of Mines session this summer.  Alyssa and Adrian were confident, poised and articulate while speaking and holding the ribbon for the ceremony.  We are so proud of them!

In appreciation for the Marquez Family Foundation’s grant to the Colorado School of Mines to fund the Neighborhood Center’s College 4 Y.O.U. program and the SAFE camp. Alyssa and Adrian presented Tim Marquez with a Skinner College 4 Y.O.U. t-shirt.

College prep with amazing experiences…it’s all happening at Skinner, your excellent neighborhood middle school.
